Gimkit is an educational classroom game with a variety of gamemodes, created by Josh Feinsilber. In order to make a game, the host first needs to create a Kit, which is a set of multiple-choice and open-response questions. Then, they can pick a gamemode and host a game, which can be joined by anyone with a 5-6 digit code.

Game Modes

Main Article: Gamemodes

There are two main types of official gamemodes offered by Gimkit- Non-2D gamemodes, which are older and involve answering questions much more heavily, and 2D gamemodes, which allow players to move around a 2D map in real time.

Cosmetics

Main Article: Cosmetics

Cosmetics are split into 3 categories: Gims, Stickers, and Trails you can buy with GimBucks earned by playtime in 2D gamemodes. Stickers are cosmetics that can be applied in any 2D gamemode lobby as a stamped image on the ground. Trails are particles that come out of the player when walking in any 2D mode.
