2024 Season 1
2024 Season 1 was first announced on the official Gimkit Discord server and the official Gimkit Twitter with the following image and caption on August 9th, 2023:
General Information
Season 1 started on August 30th, 2023, around 7:00 PM and will end December 6th, 2023, around 2:00 and follows a mountain theme. At the start of the season, every player's level was reset to Level 1. Another change that was implemented is that the Item Shop now resets on Wednesdays at 2:00 PM EST instead of Tuesdays.
Gim Design Changes
Each Gim's design was changed to make small changes to improve their appearance and to allow for easier leg animation, which was required for Don't Look Down's animation style.
Platformer Mode
Don't Look Down was added mid-way through Season 1 and was not only available to Season Ticket holders. A jumping animation for Pencil Pack was already seen before this game mode was released.
2024 Season Ticket 1
The Season Ticket was introduced during 2024 Season 1 as a one-time purchase per season for $5 USD, including 17 cosmetics for the price which you gain instantly upon purchase, an increased weekly XP Limit, the addition of more Gimkit Creative map slots, and an increased player limit to students and non-pro users.
Cosmetics
There were 17 cosmetics that were obtainable immediately after purchasing the Season Ticket for 2024 Season 1, which can be seen down below.
Weekly XP Limit
The XP limit was changed from 15,000 XP to 20,000 XP per week for Season Ticket-Holders, allowing them to get up to 500 more Gimbucks a week compared to those who didn't own the Season Ticket.
More Creative Slots
Season Ticket-Holders were allowed to have up to 25 Gimkit Creative map slots, which allowed for owners of the Season Ticket to create more maps and would not stack with the non-owner slots and the Gimkit Pro slots.
Increased Player Count
Season Ticket-Holders that had student accounts or teacher accounts that did not own Gimkit Pro had access to hosting games with up to 15 players.

- There were originally plans to change the XP cap to 10,000 XP per day, but this change was reverted a few hours after being announced due to the public outrage it caused.
- It was originally planned to be released at 2:00 pm EST but was delayed until 7:00 pm EST.
- It was originally planned to end November 29th but was delayed to December 6th.
